Sophia Nordenholz, a senior at Albany High in California, finished ninth overall at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego. Nordenholz, a Washington commit, covered the 5-kilometer course in 17:36.7 to become the first California female competitor to earn All-America honors since Claudia Lane of Malibu won the second of her back-to-back national titles in 2017.
